Warm Weather Brings Good Golfing
The weather is extremely nice out as I type this. Picture this, 70 degrees out, practically no wind, and not a cloud in the sky. Needless to say, I couldn’t let this day go to waste, so I went golfing.
Due to the constant rain showers, it has been over a week since I’ve swung a golf club. I really wasn’t expecting much from my game coming back from such an extended break, but I actually played fairly well.
I played the back nine at my local county course, Mee Kwon, and carded a 44. Par on the back nine is a 35. My score consisted of:
Not only did I play fairly well, but I was also able to test out my new 3H hybrid from Rob over at GoGrip.com. I mostly used it in situations where I probably shouldn’t of used it (ie: 225 yards out on a par 5), but nevertheless carded par on that hole. I should have a full review for it posted late tonight or first thing tomorrow.
Today was the first time I don’t think I hit a bad drive. My swing is finally starting to come together and I didn’t have to rely on the SortaGolf rule book. I believe I hit 6 fairways and only one in the rough — and it was only slightly off the fairway. The other two holes were par 3’s which I hit the green on both from the tee box.
Not only was my driving coming together, but my putting was as well. I took a little advice from a post Megan Heckeroth left on her blog. Out of the nine holes, I only had two three putts which, for me, is a huge improvement. Thanks Megan!
That’s all for now. Be sure to check back either later tonight or first thing tomorrow for the H3 hybrid review.

glad my blog post helped your putting. Did you see the putting videos in the cswing section. They helped me tremendously, especially the making v. holing concept. At the bottom of my scorecard, I always write for each hole the putts I made vs the putts I holed. At the end of a round if I made 20 putts but only holed 6, then I am not so much down on my putting. I know my stroke was there, just not one of those days when the ball loves the cup
