Problems at the HQ

Computer

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. Last week, my video card fried on my computer and instead of buying a new card, I decided to build an entire new system. This usually isn’t that big of a deal because I build computers all the time, but this time was an exception.

Everything was going smooth until I booted my computer after installing Windows. I kept getting this DLL error. It kept saying that the file was either missing or corrupt. How could the file be missing or corrupt when I just did a full format and installation of Windows? After hours upon hours of messing with the computer and about 5 format/reinstalls later, I finally fixed the problem. Since I have four hard drives in my computer — two of which are in RAID 0 — the problem came when I installed Windows on something other than the C:. I’m not sure why that would be an issue, but it was and now it’s fixed.

I can finally get back to golf tomorrow. I’m going to Fire Ridge with one of my work buddies; his name is Jeff. I’ve never gone out golfing with Jeff before, but from what he tells me, we’re at roughly the same skill level. Either way, I love playing Fire Ridge with whoever I’m with and I’m sure it’ll be a good day of golf. I was hopping to get out to the driving range before golfing tomorrow, but with all the computer problems I was having it just wasn’t the case.

Towards the end of this week I’ll be taking a trip up to Door County with my girl friend. I’m going to take my clubs along and see if I can get out and get a tee time at least one of the days we’re up there. Knowing her, she’ll probably try and coax me into playing mini-golf instead. I guess it’s these things people call “dates” and supposedly girl friends like them a lot and think they’re cute. Hopefully she can see things my way and we can compromise and do both :).

Get a Mac. You’ll have plenty more time to go golfing. ;-))

Btw, check out how the Google Ads react to this post!

LOL! For the Google Ads, I’m seeing McDonald’s Snack Wrap…guess even McDonalds is trying to reach out to the internet community.

Oh and in regards to getting a Mac, I don’t have any problems with them, but I’m just so used to using a PC. Plus, if I would get a Mac I’d probably spend over double the money for something comparable.
