Phil Mickelson’s Swing
Last Monday, I posted a video of Tiger Woods “Perfect Swing”. Today, it’s Phil’s turn. The one thing I think is insane about Phil Mickelson’s swing is the fact that he brings the club so far back on his backswing. The commentary is right on this video though, it is harder to keep the clubface square on impact when bringing the club back so far. Either way, Phil crushes his drives and they look straight enough for me.
That first drive they show, he has mad backspin on the ball. Obviously, the key is to have a good fade shot so you’ll get some good forward roll and extra yards off your drive.

The amazing thing is how long he holds his wrist cock before unwinding at the ball–and that he plays as well as he does with an impressive set of man breasts.

hahaha yeah. I actually think they’ve gotten bigger over the past few years.

Phil does take the club back a long way, but his tempo and transition from the top are very smooth so he has no problem keeping the club precisely on plane. (Notice that it is pointing right at the target line at the top of the swing.) He gets in that position because he uses a true swinging motion -he swings the clubhead back away from the ball and uses centrifugal force to his advantage.
