The Mercedes Championships concluded yesterday with Stuart Appleby taking first after defeating Vijay Singh in a sudden-death playoff. This marks Appleby’s third straight Mercedes Championships win.
He took home $1.08 million and a brand new Mercedes Benz.
Playing in such harsh conditions in the Mercedes Championships must have been extremely devastating to many of the players. Jason Gore finished last at 28-over 320. There’s no way I thought that he would of done so poorly. The wind was blowing so hard that not even half the players broke par all week.
