Lotto Winner Purchases Golf Course
A man who had won the lottery a few years back just purchased a golf course in Naples for $1.4 million. He plans to keep the golf course on the land and throw up a restaurant as well.
To me, purchasing a golf course is a risky investment. Golf courses cost so much money to maintain, if you’re not getting the players to play at your course, you’re going to be losing money — fast. Even with the man winning $10 million from the lottery, I’m sure that would dry up extremely fast if he wasn’t turning over a nice profit.
On the other hand, a restaurant could be a sound investment. Depending on the food served and the cook preparing the food, I’m sure it could not only bring in a profit for the restaurant, but also for the golf course. I’m not sure if the lottery winner is planning on turing the course/restaurant into a country club, but if he doesn’t and keeps it open to the public, I’m sure he could turn a nice profit.
