Hawthorne Hills County Course
So Kevin and I decided to still go out regardless of the horrible forcast. Hawthorne Hills has a really nice front nine and an average back nine in my opinion. Nonetheless they started us out on hole 10 — go figure. So we first played through the back nine getting drizzled on occasionally. We both felt up to playing all 18, so we went back to the club house and payed for the last nine. We played the first hole — which is beautiful. It has a decent size pond with a fountian in the middle of it which adds a lot to the scenery. Anyway, as we got to the second hole it started pouring on us. Needless to say, we went back to get our rainchecks.
Despite the rain, I hit fairly well today. I hit 49 and Kevin hit 40 on the nine we played. The greens were crap for the mostpart and the course was soaked. On a nice day though, Hawthorne Hills seemed like it would be a fun course to play.
I’m sorry I didn’t take any pictures. Next time I go to Hawthorne Hills, I’ll make sure its a gorgeous day out and take plenty of pictures.
