Golfing In The Rain
Today was an experience. I was so excited last night to go play 18 holes today to only have my excitement shattered by the weather radar. Rain. And lots of it. The rain seemed to be holding off so we decided to pay for the front nine. The other two in my party, Jason and Brenden, agreed with us. So, we tee’d off at the first hole.
I birdied the first hole and on our way to the second, it started to drizzle. The rain at this point was tollerable. We played through to the fourth hole and that’s when the rain really started comming down.
We stuck it out to the seventh hole and decided to call it quits when we started to see lightning. So, we went back to the pro shop and told the guy we didn’t finish up the nine, hoping we could recive some sort of rain check. To our surprise he gave us credit for the whole nine holes again!
Today ended up to be a pretty decent day despite the rain. Golfing in the rain was fun especially with the people I was with. I sure can’t complain about golfing for free either.
The only thing I was disappointed with was the fact I was shooting so well today. It had to be one of my best games ever and I wasn’t able to play an entire round of 18. Until next time.
