Golfing In April
I just walked in the door an it still hasn’t started to rain. Yet another reason not to always depend on the forecasts of meteorologists. I played nine holes today and I was hitting the ball well. My drives could of been better, but oh how nice it is to watch my golf ball fly off the face of my new Callaway Fusion. It hits good and sounds awesome. After switching to a decent driver, my ball speed is definitely much higher.
I was hitting my irons fantastic. It could be however, that I wasn’t faced with a bad lie all day. The grass is still fairly flat around here, recovering from winter. So no matter where the ball landed, it was a pretty easy hit. There were a few soggy areas on a few of the fairways, where I’d hit off the tee and watch my ball sink into the ground four inches. Other than that it was a good day. I hit mostly bogies and double bogies with two pars — which is good for me.
