Brush Tee Review

I went out today and played the front nine of Kettle Hills, which is a beautiful course 30 minutes or so from my house. I thought this would be the prefect opportunity to test out the Brush Tees. So, I went to grab them from my bag.
Since I normally tee my ball up somewhat high, I grabbed the “Oversize” Brush Tee and proceeded to push it into the ground. I set my ball on it and thought it was cool that little bristles could hold my ball on top of them. I took my stance then let ‘er rip. My ball went straight and far which is more than I could ask for, but did it go any further? I don’t think it really went much further than when I hit a good hit off a normal tee.
However, one thing I absolutely loved about the Brush Tee is no more breaking your tees and leaving them in the tee box. Nothing bothers me more than seeing all these broken tees laying around everywhere and making the tee box looked cluttered. I’ve never played at a course that charges over $100 for 18 holes, but every course I have played at, there has always been broken tees laying around in the tee box.
You might ask yourself, will the Brush Tee ever break, or will the bristles become bent and not hold the ball properly anymore? I’m not sure about the life expectancy on the Brush Tees, but they do come in this cool carrying case that helps preserve the usage life on them. The carrying case comes with an insert that slides down into the middle of the tee, which helps maintain the shape of the bristles. After using it playing 18 holes it still looked brand new to me — obviously not using them on the par 3 holes.
On top of the little insert that came with the Brush Tee, there is a ball marker. No longer will you have to pull loose change out of your pocket to mark your ball on the green. The tee you’ve been using already has one. Pull the ball marker out of the top of the Brush Tee insert and push it into the green.
Want a great sturdy tee that tees up the same height every time you tee off? Want to buy a set of 3 tees that will outlast bag after bag of normal tees? For only $5.35 you can pick up your set of 3 Brush Tees at The Savvy Golfer.
