Annual Golf Ball Drop
As I was combing over news stories, I found a golf event at the Denison Country Club located in Texas. Every year the Denison Country Club hosts a charity where participants purchase golf balls. Once everyone who wants to participate has purchased a golf ball, the golf balls are taken in the air by helicopter and dropped over the green by the frist hole. Whoever makes their ball in the hole recieves a prize of $1,500. If none of the balls fall into the hall, whoever owns the closest ball will win a prize of $1,000.
The purpose of this event is to raise money for the Education Foundation.
