I’m sure seeing a hole in one in person is an amazing feat, but actually getting one in yourself has to be so much better. Today’s video is of Fuzzy Zoeller’s hole in one last month. Let me tell you, I’ve seen a few hole in ones on TV, but this one is definitely the craziest one yet.

I was golfing once with my buddy Kevin and we were paired up with this older couple. They were the nicest people ever, but that’s beside the point. Playing with them was slow, really slow. The couple would hit their three wood off the tee on a par 3 or from 120 yards out on any other hole. I remember chuckling to myself every time the older man pulled his three wood out of his bag. Well, on one of the par 3’s, he hit the closest shot to the hole I’ve ever seen. I don’t know how his golf ball didn’t drop in the hole, but it was less than a tees length way and yes, he hit the ball with his three wood.

The lesson I learned that day was it’s not the club you use, but how you use it. Needless to say, my ball didn’t come anywhere near as close as his to the hole. Mine was all by its lonesome on the fringe.
