Choosing The Club Shaft Flexibility
Choosing the correct Flexibility of your golf club shafts is extremely important if you want the best connection with your golf ball. The flex of your club shaft is how much the club will bend as you swing down to strike the ball.
The first thing you need to figure out is the speed of your swing. How fast do you actually swing the club? The speed of your swing greatly determines the type of golf club shaft you should purchase. The different Flexibility types of golf club shafts that I've seen are:
-
Seniors
-
Ladies
-
Regular
-
Stiff
-
Extra Stiff
In my opinion, the best way to figure out how fast your swing is, is to go and swing clubs that differ in shaft Flexibility Begin with swinging a club with a regular shaft. If during your swing, the club is following too far behind the shaft, your swing is too fast for a regular flex shaft and you should try a stiff golf club shaft.
Keep trying this process until you find the right shaft Flexibility for you.
